Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your GeoDe account and what happens to the data tied to it. Whether or not you have an account, you can also ask us to delete anything you've shared with our support team.

1. Current state: no account needed

GeoDe currently works without an account. There is no name, email address, or password stored on our servers for browsing or redeeming deals. Your saved deals, notification radius, and preferences live on your device in app storage — they are removed when you uninstall the app.

If you have only used GeoDe in this state, there is nothing on our side to delete. Uninstalling the app removes everything tied to you.

2. When accounts ship: how to delete

Optional accounts are planned for an upcoming release. When that ships, you will be able to delete your account in two ways.

From inside the app

  1. Open the GeoDe app.
  2. Open the Me tab and tap Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. You will be signed out and any data tied to your account will be queued for removal within 30 days.

By email (if you can't access the app)

Email info@geodesave.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If you have lost access to that email too, contact us anyway with as much identifying information as you can — most recent deal you redeemed, account creation date, any prior support tickets — and we'll work through it manually.

3. What we permanently delete

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your email address
  • Your display name
  • Your password hash
  • Your saved deals (bookmarks)
  • Your push notification token
  • Your in-app preferences tied to the account
  • The link between you and any deals you submitted

4. What we retain, and why

For up to 90 days after deletion, we keep an anonymized record of the account's existence (creation date, deletion date) for fraud prevention. This record cannot be tied back to your name, email, or device.

Aggregated, anonymized statistics about deals viewed and redeemed are retained indefinitely for product analytics. These cannot be linked to any individual.

Application logs older than 90 days are automatically deleted.

5. Deals you submitted

User-submitted deals are part of the public GeoDe feed. After your account is deleted, deals you submitted that have been approved by moderation will remain visible to other users with your name and any other identifying information removed. If you want a specific submitted deal taken down entirely, include the deal headline in your deletion email and we will remove it.

6. Support records

If you have emailed us, your messages and the address you wrote from are stored in our support system. To remove these regardless of whether you have an account, email info@geodesave.com with the subject “Delete my support history”.
